FDIC

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is a United States government corporation created by the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. It provides deposit insurance, which guarantees the safety of deposits in member banks, currently up to $250,000 per depositor per bank.

FDIC (gold sponsor) has been an enthusiastic partner of LEAD since 2006. The corporation has supported LEAD in a variety of ways. Besides creating a profound experience for LEAD students, the FDIC has facilitated high level FDIC executives to serve as speakers and hosted in-kind LEAD conferences and site visits.

The FDIC has hired dozens of LEAD alumni each and every summer. A true commitment to the LEAD mission is shared by this corporation that now has over 50 LEAD alumni on staff.
